Hans Thyge & Coとヤマハのコラボレーション / Hans Thyge & Co presents collaboration with YAMAHA

Hans Thyge&Co

DANISH DESIGN STUDIO HANS THYGE & CO TRANSFORMED YAMAHA MUSIC INSTRUMENTS INTO AWARD WINNING LIFESTYLE FURNITURE

In 2017 the Chinese high-end furniture brand Mexarts initiated a brand-new concept in collaboration with Yamaha Music. Many of the designs had multi functions, so they could serve as both small tables, desk or console and as beautiful instrument.

Mexarts and Yamaha co-launched 7 different prototypes of this true experiment, of which 4 of them was designed by the Danish designer Hans Thyge Raunkjaer. The 4 pianos by Hans Thyge, was part of an overall modular concept, where the same unit could work in different designs.

All pianos were presented on the Shanghai Furniture Fair 2018 and in 2019 the design concept proposed by Mexarts and designed by Hans Thyge & Co, received the “Best of the Best” of German Red Dot award and Yamaha won a prize for best design on the fair.
