コペンハーゲン発、人気デザインデュオによる「STILLEBEN（スティルレーベン）」の日本初のポップアップストアが東京表参道にあるライトボックススタジオ青山で2022年4月9日（土）～14日（木）の6日間、開催されました。

STILLEBEN（スティルレーベン）は、ディテ・レクウェグ(Ditte Reckweg)とイエレーナ・ノーデントフト(Jelena Nordentoft)の２人の女性デザイナーが2002年に立ち上げたデザインデュオ。ともにデンマーク王立美術学院でプロダクトデザイナーとしての教育を受け、ガラスと陶芸を専門にしています。
デザインデュオの名前になっている「STILLEBEN」という言葉は、静止したモノを組み合わせたアート表現の「静止画」を意味するドイツ語に由来しています。プロダクト同士の相互作用や高品質なデザイン、クラフトマンシップ、個性的なオブジェへの情熱をもって、2002年に設立されました。コペンハーゲンの古い2階建ての建物に最初の店舗をオープンして以来、フラッグシップストアでは、創業者二人が厳選したハンドメイドの陶器やガラスのプロダクト、一点物のデザインクラフト、テキスタイル、家具、アートプリントなどが扱われ、コペンハーゲンでも注目を集めています。
Stillebenのプロダクトは、プロダクト一つだけでも成立しますが、その物があることによって、互いに作用し合い、プロダクトの同士の魅力が引き出されていきます。東京でのポップアップでは、日本に初上陸したStillebenのオリジナルプロダクトと日本の工芸や日用品、暮らしのシーンをスタイリスト・中林友紀さんによってスタイリングされていて、日本の工芸や日用品との調和の感覚、Stillebenの日本的な解釈が表現されました。
Stillebenのポップアップストア、東京での会は先週で盛況の内に終了しましたが、4月22日からは札幌、その後も長野、神戸、広島、福岡、愛知と日本全国で展開される予定です。

“STILLEBEN”, a popular design duo from Copenhagen, held the first pop-up store in Japan at Lightbox Studio Aoyama in Omotesando, Tokyo, for six days from April 9 (Sat) to 14 (Thu), 2022.

STILLEBEN is a design duo founded in 2002 by two female designers, Ditte Reckweg and Jelena Nordentoft. Both studied product design at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and specialize in glass and ceramics.
The design duo’s name “STILLEBEN” comes from the German word meaning “still image,” an artistic expression that combines static objects. The company was founded in 2002 with full of passion for product interaction, high-quality design, craftsmanship, and unique objects. Since opening their first store in an old two-story building in Copenhagen, they have been gaining a lot of attention in Copenhagen. The flagship store carries handmade ceramic and glass products, one-of-a-kind design crafts, textiles, furniture, and art prints which carefully selected by the two founders.
Stilleben’s products can be used independently, but also, they interact very well with other different products and bring out the charm of each products. Stylist Yuki Nakabayashi styled Stilleben’s first pop-up in Tokyo and original Stilleben products, with Japanese crafts and daily necessities, and scenes from daily life in Japan. The exhibits expressed Stilleben’s sense of harmony with Japanese crafts and daily necessities and its Japanese interpretation.
Stilleben’s pop-up store in Tokyo ended last week with great success, and will be launched in Sapporo on April 22, followed by other locations in Nagano, Kobe, Hiroshima, Fukuoka, Aichi, and other cities in Japan.
In addition to the STILLEBEN PRINT COLLECTION, which has been available in Japan for a long time, the lineup has been expanded to include tableware, glassware, flower vases, and textiles. The new collection will be launched in April 2022 as “STILLEBEN”. The lineup includes tableware, flower vases, textiles, and a series of chopsticks made in Fukui Prefecture in colors that match the tableware, as a collaboration with Japan. We hope you will experience the world of Stillleben, where the gentle colors with a Scandinavian flair will make your heart skip a beat.
